MAHESH JAYANARAYAN – CHAIRMAN AND CEO
 
Mahesh is the founder, visionary and principal shareholder of Halal Industries.   He is a non muslim, however has spent a large part of his life in association with Muslims around the world.
 
He has from his early childhood been groomed to be an entrepreneur. He hails from a family involved in the Food Industry and he himself was educated as a hotelier and subsequently trained and worked as a Wall street Stock Broker.   He worked for two of the leading Wall street firms for 12 years.
 
Mahesh is a British national and has a diverse background and has a wide range of experience in finance, extremely technology savvy and has a total understanding of the corporate world. He has managed and advised companies in various parts of the world both in developed and developing countries. He has also been involved with several start up companies and advised on the developed and deployment of several products on the global market.
  
 
SYED UMOR ALI - DIRECTOR AND COMPANY SECRETARY
 
Syed is a British national and has an extensive expertise and experience in Finance. He worked with Hacker Young a leading audit Firm in the UK for five years and since then has been a Director & Financial Advisor to several companies and is currently on the board of several companies involved in Debt & Trade finance,real estate and commercial trade companies. He is well versed in all aspects of accounting, trade finance and capital markets.

Each industry sector is to be managed autonomously by a group of experienced industrial, marketing and finance professionals with a multicultural background.  While doing so it embraces all cultures to enrich and promote the principles of Halal. Every entity will have a team that has extensive experience in their respective fields.

  What is halal?  
 
 

Halal (halalal) is an Arabic term meaning “permissible”

In the English language, it most frequently refers to food that is permissible according to Islamic law.

In the Arabic language, however the true meaning is it refers to anything that is permissible under Islam.

In non-Arabic-speaking countries, the terms is most commonly used in the narrower context of just Muslim dietary laws, especially where meat and poultry are concerned, however it also refers to a  number of other consumer and industry related products e.g pharmaceuticals, life sciences and fertilsers etc.

  What is Sharia?  
 
 

The basic principle of Islamic banking is the prohibition of Riba- (Usury - or interest):

"While a basic tenet of Islamic banking - the outlawing of riba, a term that encompasses not only the concept of ‘usury’, but also that of interest.

"The universal nature of these principles is immediately apparent even at a cursory glance of non-Muslim literature. Usury was prohibited in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
